The Northwestern Division Leadership shall keep the Division Membership informed and provide the Membership with leadership training and opportunity along with the promotion of League programs within the Division that are vital to our overall success.

ARRL Board of Directors Elects New CEO: Tom Gallagher, NY2RF, Will
Succeed David Sumner, K1ZZ as ARRL CEO

Tom Gallagher, NY2RF, of West Palm Beach, Florida, will succeed David
Sumner, K1ZZ, as the chief executive officer of ARRL, effective April
18. In that role, he will oversee all activities at ARRL Headquarters
in Newington, Connecticut. Meeting in a special webinar session on
January 25, all 15 ARRL Directors voted to elect Gallagher as CEO and
Secretary, positions that Sumner will relinquish on April 18. Gallagher

THANK YOU – Once again, Vice Director Altus, AB7ZQ and I would like to
express our sincere thanks for your support and trust, during the recent
elections. We are proud to represent the membership of the Northwestern
Division in the ARRL Board of Directors meetings, and the various
committees we serve on. The next 3 years will be exciting as we move
further into the second century of the ARRL. The successes of the
organization will be dependent on a strong collaboration between the
ARRL members and their elected leadership.

Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation Votes on S 1685

SENATE BILL S 1685: The Amateur Radio Parity Act (Senate version) has
passed out of the US Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and
Transportation. There were only two Committee members who voiced
opposition to the Bill.
